A RICH HISTORY IN FARMING AND FAMILY
Owen Baker and his wife Betty, otherwise known as Granny, bought our beautiful piece of land back in 1953. There, they raised their 4 children, Candice, Ruthie, Dennis and Kent. They resided in the small farmhouse on the property that was built in 1870. Today, the farmhouse still stands and keeps Granny and our family very warm in the winter. A few updates to the house have been made over the years including the addition of running water, a bathroom and the expansion of the living room into what was once the front porch. Oh, how times have changed!

Forty years later, Owen's Grandson, Doug, bought the farm and planted his first Christmas trees in 1994. Just three short years later, Doug's first child was born, and in 2000, the first sales were made of the mature Christmas trees. Doug's second child came four years later and was immediately immersed in the farming lifestyle. You will most often times find Doug on the weekends, him and his family currently reside in Ohio.

Today, Doug and his wife Sarah have been planning, planting, managing and preparing the farm almost every day, year-round for the short month of open season. For over 15 years, we have indulged in our rich family history and put our all into the Christmas season!
